UAE is going to implement the world’s first ground-aerial outdoor security robot to enhancing security… but does it apply sense over security algorithm. O-R3 is going to be the first ever “Ground – Aerial Collaborative Surveillance Systems implementation” in the world. Teaming up with human security forces O-R3 is all set to safe guard the residents of the UAE. Undoubtedly it is a great initiative from the UAE, Kudos and appreciation to the government and the visionary leadership. Accredited with the new age technology advancements O-R3 proves to be the one of its kind. The features such as Autonomous outdoor security, Dynamic obstacle avoidance and Advanced Anomaly detection, etc. Intertwined with Perimeter breach and Ground – Aerial Collaborative surveillance system take O-R3’s safety ground works sky high.
Customizing technology. Ensuring better security
The sophisticated technologies, high-tech sensors and advanced machine learning algorithm are the ultimate features that ensure precision of O-R3. In addition, the 3D Slam Technology- Simultaneous Localization and Mapping allows O-R3 to have a perfect watch over as efficiently as carried by human cops. Its aerial drone stowaway is capable of continuing the pursuit if an intruder jumps over a fence. The bot and the drone inputs will be transmitted live to the centralized Fleet Control Centre, so in extreme cases, the backup security can be deployed instantly.
Ensuring clockwork protection
O-R3 is equipped to provide 24/7, 365 days of the year, autonomous patrolling, as it is able to self-charge. The vehicle will automatically drive itself to a battery charge point in order to exchange its batteries. So the patrolling continues without any stoppage for recharging. A feature that makes O-R3 truly durable and perpetual watch guard. In addition, O-R3 is able to familiarize itself with its surroundings, track number plates on cars and detect unusual/unclaimed objects. It can also identify and pursue a human intruder by using its motion, thermal, and facial recognition capabilities.
Perfection lies in the detail
This self-driving, police car will offer 360-degree surveillance technology ensuring relentless protection. At the same time, on the machine level understanding front – How can O-R3 differentiates an intruder from a law abiding citizen. How can it identify a man who rushes to buy medicine for his ailing kid or any such situations? Being a non-combat surveillance technology can provide a sigh of relief to the residents of the UAE. But facing the odds with the backup force due to inappropriate signaling would certainly be uncomfortable to a certain extent.
Towards a safer tomorrow
As the Dubai Police Chief Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri mentioned – “Essentially, we aim for the streets to be safe and peaceful without a heavy police patrol” which is much in line with Dubai’s goal of deploying 25% robotic police force by 2030. The vision is clear, O-R3 will go all out across the streets of the UAE in the near future to ‘safe guard’. So, let’s look forward to a safer, smarter and pleasant Dubai.
